16 year old Tennessee Walker mare for sale. Val is a dark bay yet looks black in the winter and in the summer is dark bay. She is naturally gaited and is really a nice comfortable ride. She has had some training yet needs some finishing so she is not for a beginner. She needs a very confident rider as she has had some trust issues in the past. She will do fabulous with a rider that is confident. She hasnt been ridden in several months yet when taken back to the trainer she doesnt forget a thing. She has been on trails and will lead or follow. She stands nicely for the farrier and has nice feet and we have never had to shoe her. She was not broke when we bought her 6 years ago yet the previous owner had been riding her and really messed her up. We have put several thousand dollars into her training not to mention the time we have put on her. She has improved amazingly and just needs time in the saddle which unfortunately we dont have. If you have ridden a Walking Horse, have experience and are a confident rider, you wont find a better horse for this price. The previous owner paid a great deal for this beautiful horse without papers which makes me think she is well bred. Too bad I couldnt find out the history in her pedigree. She is about 15-1.
